My understanding is that Waah State allows a husband and wife to operate a sole proprietorship. Would this mean that both husband and wife need to be named on the registration or business licese? Therefore, if only the wife is on the business license or registration we should not open a checking account as a sole prop in both husband and wife names?

It does allow both for community property and tax purposes, but we always make the non-listed spouse only an authorized signer if requested (or any other signer they request).
