Does anyone have any guidance they would be willing to share on how they determine an acceptable return rate for remotely created checks deposited to their customer's account? I've searched a number of places, but have only read that the bank needs to establish an acceptable return rate without an hints on how to determine what would be "normal." Anything would be appreciated!

I think that the rate of return for RDC items would be no greater than the rate of return for those deposited over the counter. In fact, it should be less as customers you entrust RDC to should be vetted and your better customers.

Assuming you mean returned for NSF or not authorized and not for image issues...
