My Top 10:
1. Oklahoma--next week they face Peyton Manning's Colts.
4. Miami--I am so sorry to see them this good.
5. Virginia Tech--Can't wait to see the Miami Virginia Tech consolation game.
6. USC--I don't think they are as good as everyone thought, but they are good.
7. Georgia--reminds me of a joke by Lewis Grizzard, but I can't tell it in public.
8. Washington State--I don't even know their mascot.
9. Florida State--They are 9th because Ohio State, Tennessee, Minnesota, LSU, Nebraska, Auburn, and Arkansas did not want to be.
10. LSU--Hold that Tiger.
On the bubble--In this upset weekend, the bubble has burst. All I can say is that I was right about Ohio State.
And about my Longhorns. Last week, I was prepared to bet against the Sooners if I was spotted 17.5 points. Whew, glad I did not go to Vegas.

Um, Z, why is there no number 2 or 3? Is that to demonstrate OU's superiority above all other college football programs? Maybe the NFL should expand and include OU. They should have to face the Bucs, Colts, Panthers, Packers, Chiefs, and Dolphins for the rest of their season. I think we can just hand them the Big 12 championship.

Ohio State proved to be the Paper Lion I thought they were.
Miami is better than I thought they were.
Oklahoma is better than I thought they were. I did not rank a 2 or 3 because I could not think of 10 teams that deserved to be in the top 10 (yet).
The Huskers are better, but not as good as they thought they were.
Texas is worse than I thought they were.

This Saturday we are going to see Wisconsin play Purdue at Madison. Hope the rain stays away!

Iowa has an angry OSU to contend with on Saturday. I think they can do it. Any takers?

I think it's a very good possibility that Iowa can beat OSU. I hate to say this, but I just don't think all that much of OSU. Sure, they have a good defense, but they have no offense. They aren't built for a huge comeback. If Iowa can get on top of them by 2 touchdowns, game over.

Iowa / OSU will be a battle of defenses. It may prove to be a very boring game to watch. Iowa does have a good offensive line and Russel can run. How does OSU do against the run?

Their "offense" was suspended and is now suing the school! They will also be missing a linebacker this week who was suspended for deliberately injuring the Wisconsin quarterback, Sorgi. The Hawks will win if they can keep from turning the ball over.

Ted, their "offense" is a moron. He can't abide by the rules in college, so now he needs to bend the rules of another league and get special treatment? Please. I was glad to see that linebacker get suspended, but that sort of thing happens fairly frequently. He just got caught by the camera.

I'm hoping it's not that they are that bad...just that my Sooners are really that good! I still say the Big 12 conference is tough. That's why (except for this year) there isn't always a BIG standout - they beat each other up! Go Big 12 and GO SOONERS!

I agree. Look at Colorado getting beat by Baylor and then going into overtime to beat Kansas. Kansas beat Missouri. Missouri beat Nebraska. Texas A&M plays tough against Virginia Tech (my vote for 2nd best team in the country) and then gets clobbered by Texas Tech.

OU is good, but I doubt they are "that" good. I really think that Texas has a lot of talent, but really isn't a "team." They seem so poorly coached. Now, what I mean by all this is that I doubt that OU would beat a true top 10 team 63 - 14. That is why I am saying that Texas is not as good as I thought they were. OU beat a second-tier Texas team 63 -14. If Texas belonged in the top 10, the game would not have been so lop-sided, regardless of how good OU is--and I think they are very good!
