Our computer gurus want language to appear on the computer screen when an unauthorized user attempts to log on. Does anybody have any sample language I could use as a starting point. Something like "if you are not an authorized user of this computer, you will be subject to criminal prosecution and/or death". Maybe not death, but you know what I mean.

How about "Warning: Unauthorized access to bank data is a federal [and state] criminal offense, and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent possible."

And, if you're dealing with employees attempting unauthorized access to bank data via your network, you could add "Unauthorized access will also result in personnel action, including possible termination of employment."

This is what I have on our intranet.

Access to this area is restricted to the Officers and Employees of:

yada yada yada

Access to this area may be monitored. If monitoring of this system reveals possible evidence of violation of criminal statutes, this evidence (including identification information about the user) may be provided to law enforcement officials.
