If all I want to be able to do --- pending much fancier internet delivery - is email application forms and HELOC "Important Information about Our Home Equity Line of Credit" type disclosures to clients, would it be sufficient to email to them the Esign consent disclosure and have them email back that they wish to receive the disclosure in this fashion?

There are no particular hardware requirements and we can save the documents in software that can be opened regardless of the word processing software they have (as text or RTF files). They can save the documents on their PC - does that qualify for "retention"?
