Midnight Madness is only around 32 hours away! The annual celebration of the beginning of NCAA basketball practice is celebrated in Lexington, Kentucky as "Big Blue Madness".

The off-season is almost over, college hoops is right around the corner. Time to bring an 8th National Championship to Lexington!

GO BIG BLUE!

With TJ Ford missing, this season may not be as fun as last season for the Longhorns, but I still think it will be exciting!!!

Ummm, pardon me. I believe the Duke Blue Devils might have something to say about that National Championship this year. Don't clear out a spot in the trophy case just yet.

Duke Blue is the only True Blue.

Kansas may have stolen our coach, but look out for the Illini this year! Dee Brown is the man!

The Hawkeyes will be sad. I hope I am wrong- it has happened before.

I just hope that we have an honest man at the helm at UGA! Which BOLer is it with the tagline "Better to fail by honor than succeed by fraud?"

Dennis Felton did a wonderful job at Western Kentucky, so I do believe that UGA has a great man for the job.

Magic I had a feeling that you'd have an opinion on hoops. Strange how we both have to be quiet about college football, but we can crowe a little bit about the hoops

I'm sure that dUKe has a fine team this year, but I'm sorry, true BLUE has to be in Lexington, the guys in Durham play in primarily black road jerseys

You mean everyone doesn't like Duke?

Hey, RGS, how come skye doesn't have to do that dUKe thing? Do you gotta report her to the school or something?

I played basketball in high school for a year, and the coach of the team was from Kentucky. He was also the school's French teacher. He told us that, if you live in Kentucky and your son doesn't want to play basketball, you shoot him. He was kidding (I think ), but he did hurry a practice up once because "The 'Cats tip off in an hour".

Magic, there are many different acceptable spellings in the bluegrass: dUKe, dook, or duke. Sad thing is they may be teaching that way of spelling in our schools

Personally, I hope that dUKe has a fine year, I just hope that the 'Cats have a slightly better year

GO BIG BLUE

Hmmmm, Kentucky basketball.

I seem to remember Marquette having an influence on it.

Just messing with you, now that Wade is gone, I had to gloat while I still could.

As for the comment about T.J. Ford, Texas' loss is the Bucks' gain. Thank you.

Was that directed at me?

Sheesh, I was just messing around about last year's tourney. Just a friendly jab.

Kentucky will have plenty of more opportunities for success than Marquette in the near future. We have so little to root for here, there was 1977 and last year, talk about a drought

Marquette and especially Dwyane Wade (which really irks me; the guy singlehandedly beats us, but he spells his name wrong - I think I heard it was a mis-print on his birth certificate ).

We weren't helped much by Keith Bogans' injury either. Not that I'm still bitter.......

Skye, did you see MM? Woo looks good, and Chuck Hayes only looks bigger and meaner than ever. Gonna be a fun season.

There were over 12,000 people at the Midnight Madness for Indiana.

Did IU do Midnight Madness when Knight was there or did Davis start it?

UK uses Memorial Coliseum for MM, it holds around 8,000 and was packed to the rafters. They could probably draw 23,000 if they held it at Rupp, but tradition dictates Memorial.

Knight did Midnight Madness. Or was he midnight madness? I am glad he is gone. I know that he can coach, but I couldn't stand his temper and the way he treated people.
