Betty White as the grandmother? Definitely! My other 'all-stars' are: Stephanie - Leah Romeini (sp?) - the girl from King of Queens Ranger - young Antonio Banderas (we need the Way Back Machine!) Joe - undecided. Sometimes he's David Boreanaz, sometimes he's Patrick Dempsey Lula - Jacque (or however she spelled her name) Tank - Ving Rames (again, sp?...I'm terrible with names) or Zeus Stephanie's Dad - the dad from That 70's Show

I like Marisa Tomei for Stephanie. Debbie Mazar would be a good 2nd choice. Betty White is a MUST HAVE for Grandma.

OK, I've calmed down enough to think of the other characters now. 
Definitely Sandra Bullock for Stephanie.
If we're using the time machine, Whoopi kinda played Lula in Ghost. Can't think of another black actress of her caliber.
Vicky Lawrence could do Granma Mazur too if Betty's not available.
Joe... how about Raoul Bova?
No ideas on Connie or the 'rents yet.

I am only halfway thru the book so I didnt't read the earlier part of this thread. I am not as thrilled with this book so far although I did laugh at the funeral home/flasher thing. Maybe it will get better.

Nice pick Truff but before I could give my final approval I would have to see him with his shirt off!  Honestly, I just can't picture any actors that would fit the molds of the characters that I have created in my imagination. The one exception would be Lula...for some reason I picture her looking like the woman from the View. Her full name escapes me but I think her first name is Sherri?

Found him at home, Becca. And had to minimize the screen when I heard MOML coming in!  At least he got to think all the blushing was 'cause I was happy to see him.
Mum, I don't know what shows he's done. I found him by Googling Latino actors. Andy Garcia claims he's not one...he's too old anyway. Then there was this picture. Actually, Benjamin Prat was listed there too and he played opposite Sandra in that movie where she's an undercover agent at a beauty pagent. He just doesn't strike me as Ranger material tho. John Leguazamo is more the body type but not the look or machismo.
Sarah, I just need to hear him say 'Babe'.
ok, back to work before I start drooling!
