I've been there - Central Georgia a couple of summers ago. Atlanta running low on water.
Enjoy the rain and I hope it continues for you.

It's pouring here too, but I've got Phillies tickets for tonight. I think it's going to be rained out...and I am bitter.

We would have been very happy to give you some of the rain we had this summer. I think it rained a little almost every day.
Glad you finally got some rain.

I talked to my brother who live north of Dallas and he said it had rained all day Saturday. So it sound like you are all getting some much needed rain althoug he said it was starting to flood because there had been so much of it.

Not only did it rain all day Saturday, but it rained all day Sunday and is STILL raining now. I'm actually surprised we haven't seen much flooding - I think it's because it's been more of a slow, soaking rain.

We've had a slow soaking rain now for almost three days. Doesn't appear that the farms will be able to get into the fields for a while now to plant wheat.
:does "rubber band on cocaine" crazy dance that we no longer farm or raise cattle and don't have to pray for rain anymore (or steal hay):

Waco is happy too! We've had about 6 inches of rain over the past 3 days. Poor Salado, 45 miles south of Waco, 14 inches last Friday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., lots of flooding and even closed I-35 for a period of time. BUT, we'll take it since we've been SO dry.

We had an Indian festival one year and had the Apache Crown Dancers come in to do exibition dances. That Friday we had school days with over 5,000 students. It started pouring rain around noon. The Crown dancers were out dancing in the rain celebrating that it was raining. We really didn't need the rain. We needed the gate receipts of the park visitors more than we needed the rain locally.
