Someone asked me today if there would be a new field on the HMDA LAR for reporting HPML's.

I am new to the responsibility for reporting HMDA.

Will there be a change on the LAR?

I keep checking and there have been no changes to the LAR to date.

Ok...another quick question...I read in another post about there being a new update to the HMDA Data Entry Software...do we need to run our update by a certain time period?

Our HMDA software vendor has updated their software to calculate the pre 10/01 applications according to the "old" rules and the application on or after 10/01 according to the "new" rules. Both according to the lock-in date. I'm under the impression that it's the same field. We enter our data into the software on a monthly basis so we have already installed the update.

If you use the FFIEC software the current version is for 2008 data, as I understand it you will not be able to submit your 2009 data using the FFIEC software until you update to the new release.
