Does anyone out there have a sample audit report for an ACH Audit, we have conducted audits in the past but need improvements on the reporting to audit committee, report format. Being examined as we speak. I can provide fax or e-mail if you have a sample audit report or where to find one. I want to condense it make it to the point.

You might check with your regional ACH Payment Association. WesPay has an audit workbook that may work for you, depending on the size of your insitution. We are a samll bank, and have utilized it for several years. I beleive GACHA had one too.

Audit9, did your examiners auditor ask for your ACH audit? I have done mine faithfully every year and no one has ever asked for it.

We recently had a FDIC IT exam and they requested the audit report for our ACH audit - because there were no major findings, they didn't ask to see workpapers or our workprogram.

I've not been involved in a ACH audit since 2006. However, as of today I've been thrown back into that realm and I just found out the last audit done was in 2007. frown

The audit I did in 2006 was an interview process of the person's overall knowledge of the rules and procedures coupled with reviews of random samplings of contracts and GL tickets. Are there any major changes to the ACH rules I should be concerned about? If there are, a reference would be appreciated. As fate has it we have S&S examiners due here a week from today so I'm kind of under the gun so to speak.

Dan - do you havea copy of the newest ACH Rule Book?

There's an appendix in the back with step by step audit requirements to comply with the annual NACHA audit.

I'll be doing ours prior to 12/1/09. I haven't done one of these for several years, but knew that I would be doing this when I hired on here in March. A friend of mine said that you can order an ACH Audit guide from the ACH website.

If you go to www.nacha.org you can purchase an ACH Audit Guide. I buy one every year. Our local payments association sends out a letter every year asking when our ACH audit was completed. Examiners have never asked for it but it is my understanding that the payments association can come in and ask to see it. It is on the schedule for next month.

Our IT auditors asked for it this year. They didn't look at WPs but they read the report. And they really did read it.

I started ours today. I consider it my annual penance. But it does keep me up on the rules!

FYI- Some of the Regional Payment Associations are offering ACH Audit Services.

I am currently in the process of locating it. Thanks.

Check out www.sheshunofflibrary.com. This website is a great source for any internal audit questions and it has atleast three sample ACH audit reports.

You might try www.epcor.org. Really good ACH Audit Workbook. It also comes with an ACH Compliance Audit Report example.

Our IT auditor is here this week and he did ask me if I had done my audit. I told him yes and he never asked to see even the report.

I understand there are some changes to the audit requiremanets for next year. Anynone know anything about that?

has anyone been required to see all of their international ACH OFAC reports? If so how did you handle it?

Mr Spring - The format of the audit is changing for 2010. There are a lot of redundancies in it because of the way it's structured (e.g. two line items for record retention - one for ODFI, one for RDFI). It's going to make it much easier to complete.

Where can I find the new requirements fot the 2010 Self Audit? I've looked on the NACHA website and cannot find any specific reference to the self audit. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Bill Broman
