Would anyone be willing to share an advertising compliance check list that is updated? The one in compliance tools is from 2003.

Thanks much

If this is something you want to share in the BOL Tools, email me, andyz@bankersonline.com, otherwise, be prepared for "me too" posts. I will say that we at BOL are looking at updating the advertising tools, but we just aren't there yet.

Andy,
If we wanted to send an email to customers, prospective customers or collegues related to an event that we sponsor (our bank only and we solicit/sometimes pay the speaker and promote our bank)by invitation, would this fall under CAN-SPAM and require advance permission to send email and all of the other related reg requirements?

I am not Andy, but my thought is that since you have the email already, they have freely given it to you and you can send to them.

I do feel it falls under CAN-SPAM, and would certainly have an opt-out message and system in place so they have the opportunity to not recieve the invites in the future.
