Our CFO asked the question "what are the FDIC's guidelines regarding paying above market rates on deposits." Im not really sure where to start looking, can someone help me out? It seems that if you can make a profit and still give the customer more bang for their buck it's fine but im still not sure.

I know there can be restrictions on institutions that are less than well capitalized but we are a very well capitalized bank...
