In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages.... like this ? (from this very thread, I might add) an inanimate object cannot die, can it? Actually, Hrothgar, that would seem to be the most relevant post in the thread thus far as it speaks directly to the thread title.

So 99% of cooler posters are trolls? No, only 99% of the people who can't help themselves from hijacking threads and turning them into something irrelevant on purpose. I say the majority of 'Cooler posters stopped posting because of the trolls. (That, and for the way we jump all over someone who disagrees with us in the political and religious threads.)
