I have been up and down Reg. Z and I just cannot seem to find this. What is the definition of "real property" as it applies to coverage under the Truth In Lending Act (see Exceptions 12 CFR 226.3)? Is it real estate? Or does it include personal property like an automobile?

I've always "understood" real property to be real estate including structures attached to the RE; a car, furniture, or any thing else that is not attached to the real estate is personal property.

That is what I am hearing from others I have asked on the phone/in person. Thank you for your insight!
