Did anyone watch this show last night? Wasn't there a series some years ago called this or at least about some reptilitan creatures in human form? It was a very strange show I thought.
I don't know if I will be able to get into it or not.

In the Snow :)
There was a show back in the 80s I think. Started great then died out.

I wasn't home, but Hubby loved it and wants to see it again based on the end of the show, so he gets the right perspective.

I recorded it but haven't watched it yet. I remember the series from the 80's and yes it started out good, but faded quickly. The Sci-Fy Channel has been running the old series in the past couple of weeks.

I read on a wacko right wing website that this is an allegory on the Obama adiministration what with all the talk about universal healthcare and all................

I watched it...I wish Morena Baccarin had long hair like she did on "Firefly."

The show looks pretty interesting, and I liked the original miniseries in '83. I was in 8th grade and Jane Badler as the evil Diana, helped me dive into puberty! I thought it was going to be hard to replace classic 80s actors like Marc "The Beastmaster" Singer, Michael "Jester" Ironsides, and Robert "Freddie Kruger" Englund, but they did a good job!

Is Morena the actress who is playing the head "V"? She is very attractive.

You gotta see the whole body to appreciate it all! HA!

Can you buy the original V - I've never seen it out and about. I would like having the original to watch again.

Yep - She was the "Ambassador" on Firefly/Serenity. I can't recommend that series or movie enough!

One of the stars of the original series graduated from my high school, which of course tempted everyone from these parts to watch it. Interestingly enough, I caught a couple of back-to-back episodes this weekend on the si-fi channel. it wasn't too bad of a show! If y'all can remember, Fay Grant, the blond scientist, was our graduate, although in school she was known as Fay Yoe. Just a bit of trivia.......

FINALLY ABOVE the gnat line
I enjoyed the original V in the 80's. I kept trying to place the characters from that show in the new show last night. Enjoyed the new show.

I've never seen "Firefly" but enjoyed Morena Baccarin as Adria on Stargate SG-1. She plays the bad guy well.

The part that's really rotten is that it is on opposite NCIS!

In hades.
Firefly is one of the best shows that got canceled before it had a chance. Mostly because Fox didn't know how to market the show properly and decided to ait episodes out of order.

You owe it to yourself to buy it and own it as a treasured piece of your dvd collection.

I loved the old series, almost as much as Alien Nation (wish they'd redo that one!).

Watching last night, I found it interesting to see all the actors I recognize and like, but can't name showing up.

Morena Baccarin - couldn't have told you her name, but I'll never forget her in Serenity.

Elizabeth Mitchell - couldn't have told you her name, but she was so familiar. Turns out she's had a role for several episodes of about a dozen shows I've watched in the past.

Morris Chestnut - recognized him immediately from G.I. Jane and an episode of Bones.

Joel Gretsch - Another great sci-fi role in The 4400.

Scott Wolf - Remember "The Nine" about the bank robbery. Yup, that was him. Not to mention Party of Five.

Alan Tudyk - Yet another guy from a sci-fi show, Dollhouse. Yes, he was Alpha.

sorry pj and all nonpolitical types, I couldn't help myself....

The news media swoons in admiration -- one simpering anchorman even shouts at a reporter who asks a tough question: "Why don't you show some respect?!" The public is likewise smitten, except for a few nut cases who circulate batty rumors on the Internet about the leader's origins and intentions. The leader, undismayed, offers assurances that are soothing, if also just a tiny bit condescending: "Embracing change is never easy."

Morena Baccarin was Inara from Firefly/Serenity
Alan Tudyk was Wash (Serenity's Pilot) in Firefly/Serenity

I think the next rainy weekend, I'm going to watch Firefly again...I love that series! I even own a "Blue Sun" t-shirt!
