No. I'd had my regular doctor try to freeze it off 3 times, and then went to a dermatologist to discuss having it surgically removed since it was stubborn and wouldn't go away. Her first suggestion was to cut a circle of duct tape and place it over the wart for a week and see if it went away using that method. It actually worked, where Compound W, Freeze Away, and a doctor with liquid nitrogen failed. So I paid a copay for a consultation, for a non-standard treatment that worked!

I guess I traumized my son when he was little by taking him to the doc to have his wart on his hand frozen off. The last time we went to get it treated he hid under the doctor's desk crying and would not come out. The doctor said it wasn't worth it to have him go through the trauma so we ended the treatment.

About a month later visiting my mom and step-dad we were at the dinner table and the wart fell off.

Son is a lot older now and he does have those little warts over his hands- he was told to pumice them down and put duct tape over them. He never did what the doctor said and life goes on.

I never knew the visit to the doctor when he was young had such a bad effect on him until these other wart issues came up for him. I felt bad.

800 mg of Tagamet daily for a couple of weeks. That is what my Dr. prescribed several years ago. The wart disappeared and hasn't been back!

My niece had many warts. Many were frozen by a dermatologist. Then, my sister used AcidMantle cream, which is a ph balancer, on her. The warts cleared up and have not returned. You can buy it at drugstores or they will order it for you. You can order it online as well.
