We have several business customers who request that we send them copies of the Fedline printout for any wire transfers they recieve. I have been asked if there are any privacy concerns as our customer will be receiving the sender's account number and address.

I am of the opinion that this would not present any privacy issues for the bank as a) the sender is not our customer, b) our customer is not receiving any more information than they would have had the sender written them a check, and c) it appears to fall within the allowable reuse limits in 216.11. Does anyone have any other opinion or am I overlooking something?

Why would they want a copy of your Fedline documents? Is not your crediting their account sufficient? I would be concerned not just on Privacy but also on Security. Too much information given outside the bank is not "good" practice. Just my opinion!

Opinions are mine not my employer.
