I'm sure this is really a silly question, but clarification is greatly appreciated.

Does the Place of Settlement have to be the Branch they are signing at? Or can Place of Settlement on the HUD-1 be the Main Office, where Docs are prepared and the building we are based out of?

The place of settlement is exactly that. The place of settlement.

If you prepare the documents and take them to the borrower's home to sign then your place of settlement is the borrower's home address.
