We always do just one tree and decorate it as a family. Same thing for my family as I was growing up and same for my husband's family.

I guess I never thought people had more than one Christmas tree in their home at once. You learn something new each day smile

We only have up one tree, but I clicked two for you.

Thanks, Pal!

So, it occured to us that our newer dog Max probably wasn't around Christmas trees in his former homes because he keeps wanting to "mark" it. He sees it as a tree (and in his mind I'd imagine he's wondering how it grew inside) and not the decoration is it. At least he's not jumping up in this.

If his aim is pretty good, this could keep you from having to add water to the stand so often. Brilliant!

An inside 10 1/2 month old Bull Mastiff meant we decided to not do a tree this year!

Oh, but it's not real. So it's just pee stains on the tree skirt.

Fake trees. It's been a long while since we had a real tree.
Not sure I'd want a real tree anymore anyhow.

Oh yeah, and there is one in the playhouse (which also has a heater, flat screen TV, DVD player, and a faux fireplace for Santa to come down)!

Six Daughters eek I thought 3 sons was bad enough.
Good luck Grinch! Has your hair turned totally grey yet?
At 48, The Grinch is happy to say, you can only see, a little gray...

Growing up, we'd go to the tree farm and cut our own tree every year. It was nice to have it in the house and smelling so good, but we kids were in charge of keeping it watered which meant it went dry and stayed that way most of the time. Such a mess to clean up after. Finally, my mom put her foot down and that was the end to the real trees.

Out here, some people throw the whole tree in their pool to hydrate it first, then keep the basin filled with water.

16, 13, 11, 9, 7, 5. So, all are still at home (and no, The Grinch doesn't use Grecian formula).

Do you still light fires in it? I'd be concerned some of them would burn.

Seriously, 13. I must be an addict because I just bought #14 at an after Christmas sale.

Each tree has a different theme or color scheme. It really is fun and when I have my annual Christmas bash my friends really enjoy them. Needless to say my house looks rather festive!!

Wow. Mocha's Mom. I am not worthy.

I only have 4.

1. The red and white tree is in the foyer.
2. Disney tree is in the bear's bedroom.
3. The mini-smores tree is in the power room.
4. The main tree in the living room.
And I have one of those glazed ceramic Christmas trees that my grandma made, on the kitchen table smile Can I count that one? Then I have 5 smile

I have a Disney tree too, Queen!! That one is in the study.

The others are:
Foyer - peacock tree
Living room - main tree done in apricot, burgundy, gold and cream
- brown and gold tinsel tree with gold ornaments
Dining room - wine tree
- two black topiary trees in a Mardi Gras theme
Family room - family tree with all family ornaments
- Snowman theme tree
Study - Disney Tree, white tree with all Mickey ornaments
Kitchen - chicken tree (all chicken ornaments)
- small ceramic mouse tree on table too
Son's bedroom - Casino tree (ornaments with dice and cards on them)
My bedroom - ornaments of copper, gold and ivory
Upstairs hallway - decorated with hydrangeas and ribbons

The new one I just bought is a 6 1/2 ft champagne colored tree that will be decorated with apple green and chocolate brown ornaments next year.

It really is an addiction and probably a result of my ex telling me that we could only have one tree when I wanted more than one.
