Hopping onto the movie train for movies over 25 years old...
I think "It's A Wonderful Life" is a great one!

I'm going to get stoned for this, but I don't really like that many movies made prior to 1990. My husband wants to strangle me because I refuse to watch anything "old". LOL I don't know what it is, but I find the acting in old movies to be terrible and cheesy. Like the kissing scenes when it looks all fake and staged. But I digress...
The few exceptions to my rule:
Fiddler on the Roof Singing in the Rain Amadeus The Godfather Spartacus My Fair Lady

Auntie Mame is a movie. It's been made several times. But, IMO, the best version is with Rosalind Russell. She is the perfect Mame. That's the one!!! I thought it was a play cuz how they broke up the sets and all

Ben Hur still awes me with the chariot race and the sea battle scenes.
I love the Errol Flynn Robin Hood - great swash-buckling! In fact, just about anything with Errol Flynn - great escapism! Also, most versions of the Three Muskateers that have ever been made - for instance, the one with Michael York and Racquel Welch is a riot.

Key Largo with Bogart and Eddie Robinson
Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Any number of John Wayne movies
Any number of Spencer Tracy movies
Any number of Betty Davis movies
Any number of Gary Cooper movies
Any number of Cary Grant movies
Any number of Randolph Scott movies
Any number of Willima Powell movies
the list goes on and on......there must be 20 great movies made every year from 1931 through 1970 that beats hands down any of the tripe we are fed every week the past 20 years....
That's my story and I am sticking to it!!!!
