Customer wants to open an account under a Trust (no problem there) - however, upon review and examination of the trust paperwork, there are specific references to California law, under the paragraph "Trust Estate is Community Property".

Now I'm not a legal counsel, and we have legal counsel that I can send this to, but before I incur that expense I thought I would see if any of my esteemed colleagues have ever run across something like this.

First blush has me thinking it's probably ok, because nowhere does is specifically indicate an application only to California residents, or specifically exclude Texas residents - but anyway - thoughts? confused

I would think Trust Laws are state specific as probate laws are state specific. Have you tried calling TBA's Legal Hotline?
