So has winter struck for anyone else. Here in ND we currently have 4 degrees. A little early to be this cold. I'm not happy. Yesterday was blowing and drifting snow all day. We actually got lucky. Just southeast of us in MN they received 13 inches in some parts.
Well summer is over!

Not really a comparison to you, but yesterday it was 70 degrees and today it's a high of 38 and it's spitting snow. What a change. Looks like winter is on it's way in.

We don't have much of a winter. Today, it is about 34 degrees and a little windy. I wish that it would stick around for awhile....except for the wind. Now, 13 inches of snow doesn't sound too pleasing (drifting or not), but 82 at Christmas isn't either.....

In the Chicago area, southwest side, it was 65 degrees Saturday and Sunday am. This am it is 22 degrees with very impressive snow flurries, not expecting any accumulation.

My mistake. I thought I was in the watercooler section. I don't even know how I got here. Sorry.

I think this is the right place for this discussion, because I'm getting depressed. Yesterday mid-60's, today closer to freezing and it's currently snowing sideways. I can see maybe 2 blocks. And it's only November.

There is no snow here, but it's cold (27° this morning and currently about 35°). Saturday, my kids were running around outside in shorts and Sunday they had coats on. No wonder everyone around here has a cold!

I'm in southern South Dakota. It was 70 last Wednesday. Zero last night. The cold doesn't bother me so much as the short days. I need sunshine. I lived in northern ND, so it could be worse. Up there, it is dark when you go to work and dark when you get home.

Around 80 yesterday, now it's raining and will be much colder tomorrow, then warming right back up again...such a roller coaster!

Our forecast is for 2 inches of snow today and night which isn't bad but the wind will be about 35 mph. Brrrr.

Jac snowball on the way.

We didn't get the snow, but went from short sleeves on Saturday to about 19 degrees on Sunday with pretty good winds. Enough to make the wind chill around 5. This morning it was 11 degrees and we still have some wind. The sun has been shining though! But it's still bitterly cold. If that dang wind would just go away! Think I'll have to stop in at Cleabatsu's and get a cup of coffee. Think he keeps Snickerdoodle flavor around?

I got ya covered Jac We got about 14 inches over the weekend and expect more today. Fortunately it's warmed up a bit (19 degrees above) so it's not too uncomfortable. It's actually darned pretty.

Aurora forcast is at it's maximum so we have both fluffy snow and pink and purple and green skies

Nikko & Dawnie,
Thanks for sending the snow my way, but I am sad to say that by the time it arrived last night it was way too warm- and virtually indistinguishable from rain.

But thanks for thinking of me, anyway.

Pedaling along a scenic highwa...
Being a native Iowan and former transplant to South Dakota (go 'Yotes!), Oklahoma has left me missing the occasional 20 below with an 80 below wind chill factor. A blizzard would be a welcome change to drizzle on Christmas Day. I'd also appreciate a snowball lobbed in my direction!

OH NO! What a horrible memory/thought! I lived in Duluth, MN for one winter. YUK! It was -60 the day' we left. Fortunately, we arrived at our new duty station to find to was about 20 above, with 2 feet of snow. Misawa, Japan was a definate inprovement. But now I'm waiting for the kids to finish school. I'm heading even more south. I've had it with snow and cold!

I was in Yokohama and Camp Zama for a few years. The only time it snowed there was when we were in Guam for Christmas.

Winter isn't here yet, in Central Texas. Lower 70s as a high. I want colder weather to get into the Christmas spirit. But I fear it won't arrive until the bills do, in January.

OK, I'm in Central Mass and we had a snow squall that left about 1/2 inch of snow. Big deal, right? HOWEVER, it's 20 degrees so it froze and I drove to work this morning on a skate rink! I didn't see one sander/salt truck on the road. If I went faster than 20 miles an hour and had to stop at a red light, forget about it, I would have smacked into the car in front of me, Every year my husband and I talk about moving to the South. After this morning's commute, I'm ready!!!!
