Had a woman come in one time, accusing us of stealing her identity, and that was keeping her from meeting a man and having a family! Yikes!

NeBanker, one of our customers did something similar. Only without the potty mouth. Sorry, psycho, we close the place down on weekends.

Hahaha, Lestie G, that is hilarious. What do you even say to that? I would have just started laughing I think. That or picked up the phone and called a friend.

Yes, ma'am, I'm so sorry. Unfortunately, our drive-in tellers don't have access to your account information [signature card at that time] in the drive-in.

"Well that's fine, but your manager was rude and I want to file a complaint."

Yes, ma'am, and I am so sorry that happened. I will be happy to handle that for you.

"Good. Where is your office, I can be there in about 30 minutes."

Years ago I had a customer say we gave her the wrong mortgage. When I inquired what she meant, she said she wanted the mortgage her broker at our affiliate described, the one where she would make so much on her investments in her brokerage account that she would never have to go out of pocket for her mortgage payments. She was offered a new mortgage at no cost and selected essentially the same product she already had.

One of the banker's that I used to work with had to deal with fraud on one of our customer's accounts. Turns out that he took one of his strippers, or I should say, employees since he owned the place, home for the night and she took his check card and check book.

Just south of here about 30 minutes. Place off of Cty Rd H - ever been there? Interesting place. Went there for a going away party for the teller supervisor - we told the boss that it was okay since they were a bank customer. A number of other customers were there as well.

Haven't been to any in this area yet. With kids, it makes things difficult to get out more. Care to babysit?

Back in my teller days a long time customer (about 75 yrs old) came in to make a deposit. He always has wife trouble been married 4 times. His present wife was divorcing him. He began to say that it was a sex problem. I told him I didn't want to know about that, however, he continued. "My problem is that she's wamts sex when she says and she knows I have to take that pill (decribing what it does) and now she's leaving me. Finally I excused myself and went to the back. Guess we are sex advisors now. Go Figure! HAA

I just smiled, said sorry, and sent the check back to him.

He had his son "hastily" speed away in their run down truck, smoke coming from the tail pipe as they both im sure acquired whip lash from that sudden burst of speed.

You can deposit it into his account without him signing it, right?

After my bank transitioned to imaging, we still have a few cusotmers that requested their ORIGINAL checks back. One was a medical office.

When we merged with another bank, we couldn't do that any more, so I called to tell the office manager that it was not possible to give him his original checks back anymore - he then proceeded to go on a long rant about how technology is ruining this country and everyone thought cellphones were once a good idea and now they are causing car accidents.

I was talking to him on his cellphone.

A member e-mailed me about 2-3 months ago, asking if an od advance fee could be reversed. Being a problem member who constantly asks if we can reverse fees, I asked my supervisor, who said it was okay this one last time. So, I e-mailed the member back saying that this was the last time we were going to reverse fees for her. She emails me back saying how she's had such a bad year, and that any year that has the number 9 in it is always bad for her. She goes on to say that she's in love with one of her co-workers and that it's very difficult to go to work everyday having to see him. And that it's worse for her now, knowing he's marrying someone else.

tmi, I think... crazy

sometimes the Treasury is just wrong...

§ 4–205. Depositary Bank Holder of Unindorsed Item.
If a customer delivers an item to a depositary bank for collection:
(1) the depositary bank becomes a holder of the item at the time it receives the item for collection if the customer at the time of delivery was a holder of the item, whether or not the customer indorses the item, and, if the bank satisfies the other requirements of Section 3–302, it is a holder in due course; and
(2) the depositary bank warrants to collecting banks, the payor bank or other payor, and the drawer that the amount of the item was paid to the customer or deposited to the customer's account
