I cannot say "ask" correctly.
I generally just say "I have a question for you..."
Are you in the "aks" group? Girls in my class say ti that way... I plead the fifth.

i always seem to mishear lyrics in songs. growing up my sister would love to point out the crazy things i interpreted from the song. the song "any man of mine" says "when i cook him dinner and burn it black ..." i thought it said "when i cook him dinner and a barney flack" (i thought barney flack must be a fancy food i never heard of) another one is the song "fancy" says "fifteen years" i thought it was "shifting gears" let's just say i am always careful to read the screen when singing kareoke!
LMAO! I always thought the "Eye of the Tiger" song was "I am the Tiger" and sang it that way. LOL

We are too. Everyone is Dude to me. Even though I am not well traveled. Happy, what gives, Dude? Your Saints won, Fat Tuesday is just a week away, I thought life was great down where you are. some people clearly don't recognize humor...

I don't have a problem saying or hearing anything but I catch people doing it all the time. I had a boss that used to say Pacific instead of Specific. I also hate to hear people say suppose(b)ly instead of suppose(d)ly, warsh instead of wash and when they add an "s" at the end of Wal-Mart everytime they say it.

we have a customer that says "debics" and "Credics" instead of debits and credits...drives me up the wall.
Had an employee years ago that called and told me she wouldn't make it in as she had "loose vowels." I said loose vowels, like a,e,i,o,u?

My brother cannot say spaghetti... it's always been "noodles and sauce" in our house. At our house, it's macaroni and gravy.... I always thought that was a quirky Italian thing...

' she thought they were saying "Hot tomato soup.." also with the Pointer Sisters' song that included the words, "Sampson and Delilah...:, she always sang as "Sampson and Goliath".

I know a man that pronounces flashlight as frashright. And you better not kid him about it either. Touchy!

My son does this with just about every song he sings, although he is just 7 years old, he does manage to get most of the lyrics right. When he says an incorrect lyric, I try to tell him what the actual words are, and he says "mom, I like the way I say it better!"

LMAO! I always thought the "Eye of the Tiger" song was "I am the Tiger" and sang it that way. LOL gowing up, a neighborhood kid sang John Mellencamp's lyric to Jack and Diane as "oh yeah, applesauce" instead of "oh yeah, life goes on"

Lots of Indian names for towns in this part of the country. It's not the sound so much as where you put the accent. Just a few...Ashwaubenon Chequamegon Kaukauna Kinnickinnic Menomonie Mequon Oconomowoc Prairie du Chien St. Nazianz Trempealeau Weyauwega
Nails on the chalkboard to me is when people pronounce ETCETERA as x-cetera. There's no X in that word, people. You forgot Wauwatosa!

I can't say "real world" to save my life. Unless I say it slow like molasses. That's weird. "Real world" sounds nothing like "molasses."

Around here people add an "r" to words like: "I am going to warsh the car." "The captial of the United States is Warshington DC" "You can borrow books from the lie-berry" and words with a "FF" sound in it are often pronounce with a "th" sound. Like "What's the ditherence" There are more, I just can't think of them all right now.
