One of my favorite restaurants downtown makes wonderful Spaghetti & Meatballs, but on the menu they spell it "Pasghetti," the way little kids sometimes say it. grin

LMAO! smile

I always thought the "Eye of the Tiger" song was "I am the Tiger" and sang it that way. LOL

I don't have a problem saying or hearing anything but I catch people doing it all the time. I had a boss that used to say Pacific instead of Specific. I also hate to hear people say suppose(b)ly instead of suppose(d)ly, warsh instead of wash and when they add an "s" at the end of Wal-Mart everytime they say it.

Lots of Indian names for towns in this part of the country. It's not the sound so much as where you put the accent. Just a few...Ashwaubenon
Chequamegon
Kaukauna
Kinnickinnic
Menomonie
Mequon
Oconomowoc
Prairie du Chien
St. Nazianz
Trempealeau
Weyauwega

Nails on the chalkboard to me is when people pronounce ETCETERA as x-cetera. There's no X in that word, people.

we have a customer that says "debics" and "Credics" instead of debits and credits...drives me up the wall.

Had an employee years ago that called and told me she wouldn't make it in as she had "loose vowels." I said loose vowels, like a,e,i,o,u?

We have a fast food chicken chain called El Pollo Loco (the crazy chicken). When my husband first moved here from another state, he couldn't pronounce it and called it Pogo chicken. So that's what we have called it ever since. smile

My sister did the same thing with the these lyrics, "Hearts are made of stone...
' she thought they were saying "Hot tomato soup.." also with the Pointer Sisters' song that included the words, "Sampson and Delilah...:, she always sang as "Sampson and Goliath".

My son does this with just about every song he sings, although he is just 7 years old, he does manage to get most of the lyrics right. When he says an incorrect lyric, I try to tell him what the actual words are, and he says "mom, I like the way I say it better!"

gowing up, a neighborhood kid sang John Mellencamp's lyric to Jack and Diane as "oh yeah, applesauce" instead of "oh yeah, life goes on"

Somewhere in the middle
Around here people add an "r" to words like:

"I am going to warsh the car."

"The captial of the United States is Warshington DC"

"You can borrow books from the lie-berry"

and words with a "FF" sound in it are often pronounce with a "th" sound.

Like "What's the ditherence"

crazy

There are more, I just can't think of them all right now.
