"ISLAMABAD — The Taliban's top military commander has been arrested in a joint CIA-Pakistani operation in Pakistan in a major victory against the insurgents as U.S. troops push into their heartland in southern Afghanistan, officials said Tuesday.

Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, the group's No. 2 leader behind Afghan Taliban founder Mullah Mohammad Omar and a close associate of Usama bin Laden, was captured in the southern Pakistani port city of Karachi, two Pakistani intelligence officers and a senior U.S. official said."

Was he mirandized?

Purportedly, Obama had no hand in deciding to mirandize the Christmas Day bomber nor did he have a hand in the decision to try KSM in civilian courts, so why blame him.

That's not clear. She may have read it but not understood what a top military commander was.

No. And since the CIA is not a law-enforcement agency, it doesn't either.

I see, so if the CIA had apprehended the Christmas Day bomber, miranda would not have been required?

Or, if we had apprehended the Christmas Day bomber in Europe, then no miranda?

Why should the Christmas Day bomber have rights this Taliban commander does not have?

They need to find the #1 Taliban sniper over there. Then take her and put about 100 bullets in her and then run her over with an American tank.
