Sorry Z. At least here (the conditions are the same in Illinois it sounds like) we're used to it.

I lived in Chicago once when I was still a young pup in high school: 1976 - 1980. Dang cold! Dang snowy! I'm told by friends who still live there that those winters were unusual and I should move back and give the city another chance. Sorry, the city had its chance and it snowed and colded its chance away.

You better stay where you are. It's just as bad smile
People here keep talking about how this year is looking to beat 1979's winter. Like I know what they are talking about...I was 2 smile at the time.

The snow pretty much stopped at 1:20. I can still see some on trees and cars, but the rain will take care of that in short order. Austin kids are going to be so sad to see snow, but not get to play in it. Those just north of Austin got to play in it.

I am coming with the trailblazer in all weather tires and 4 wheel drive engaged smile !!! Just kidding. Can you imagine the mpg I'd get driving in 4high all the way from Northern Illinois to you? That and I am a ditch magnet. Seriously. My trailblazer loves them. The last time, our local tow guy pulled up to me and laughed at me. Can you believe it?!?

That was a funny thing to me, when last in Dallas. All of these trucks and NONE of them said 4x4 on the side of them. Up here it's a requirement. At least if you live in the sticks like I do. smile
