Don, why so late this year?

one of my banks actually was done this week [but I'm not holding my breath on any of the others being ready until mid-Feb ;)] - but my submission email didn't get the usual response - does anyone know if they aren't accepting submissions until a certain date?

Check the email address in the submission email, and the fax number. It's the little stuff.

I took on some additional responsibilities last year and instead of doing quarterly scrubs I only did semi-annual scrubs.

I currently have a person running some last minute double checks. If all goes as planned I'll be submitting on the 28th.

Data submitted today (1/25/11) and confirmation received.

Had to submit via email though. Kept getting a server error trying to submit via the Web.

Can always count on you to be an early-filer. Now you have more time to help the rest of us.

Had my Edit Report waiting on me this morning via email with a PDF attachment. I am now officially done with 2010 reporting.

I've had to take a time-out from finishing the scrub of December's data to get ready for data integrity next week. Once I get back to it, I should be ready to submit pretty soon. It would be nice to have that over and done with.

And she took that time out for that and gets notified yesterday that only one is coming so he will only be looking at 2009!

I assume that means "for now..next week" but not entirely!

My Wiz import format is screwed up so I couldn't even submit if I wanted to.

Needless to say, I have developed a rash and nervous twitch.

Filed last Friday morning.

I decided to do a last minute quasi-rescrub. I'm running through the notes from my previous scrub making sure any changes I noted saved and grabbing a random file here and there to do a full check. I'm at about mid-June right now.

Submitted last week and responded to edits. I'm done with 2010.

I could have submitted on the first of February, but our Auditor is doing a final review before we submit.

Question, we are to review HMDA quartley, which I do, but, does anyone review on a monthly basis and does that make it easier on the final reveiw?

I hand key all HMDA loans and review every single one. Just don't trust what everyone else keys in, trying to make the end process easier. Any suggestions? Have only been doing HMDA for 6 years.

I hand key as well and in all honesty, i take that as my "review", since i'm looking at the app., the note, etc. as i'm entering it (at this point, i don't see the logic in re-checking myself...i review my quality edits, but do not re-check every entry that i myself entered). The only monthly review i do is looking for loans that should have made it on the LAR and didn't. Curious as well if those who have been doing this awhile have any holes to poke into my procedures (please do if they need it).

Our loan officer's are supposed to be keying in the loans and then I do a review. I have got in the habit of checking all of them before they are submitted. Just because of the errors that occur. Once I have keyed them into the FFIEC program I don't go back and review them at the end of the year. We have a program that pulls all HMDA loans by the way they are coded. I get that report quartley and then I get a final report for the year just to make sure that I haven't missed anything.

Submitted yesterday at noon, edits were waiting in my email this morning.

For years, I have been importing the data and scrubbing on a monthly basis. That way the applications are still fresh in our minds, close at hand, and it is not as monumental task as doing it quarterly. It also enables me to spot any problems and correct them sooner.

The upside is that our data integrity is improved, and the annual submission is almost a non-event.

I was trying to phrase an answer that didn't involve diving into the details of our process (I'm pretty sure I've given those a couple of times before in other threads), but I think I will stick with the short version.

going to try that ^^^ this year. Hopefully we won't have another surge in volume to pull me away from HMDA like it did last year.
