Can an authorized signer be on a joint OR an individual account?
An authorized signer does not have ownership of the account, but I read that an authorized signer could close an account. So they can close an account and take the money?

wouldn't an authorized signer on a personal account have to be a POA? The POA would spell out their rights/limitations.

tasha - Some states allow convenience signers on joint accounts. You need to refer to your state statutes for clarification. You should also review your deposit account agreement; it could have limitations as well.
