So who watched it last night? Any thoughts on what Sawyer's game plan is? If I were Kate, I would still keep an eye on Claire.

I watched and was frustrated at the lack (again) of "answers." However, any episode with Sawyer with his shirt off is a great episode in my book!!!

I agree about Kate and Claire, in fact when Claire approached Kate in the woods to apologize and hugged her, I thought, "Kate, she is going to pull that rifle right off your shoulder and shoot you." After Claire attacked Kate and Sayid failed to help, I really expected to see a confrontation between Kate and Sayid.

I loved that Sawyer's "safe word" in the hotel scene at the beginning was "LeFleur" (or however you spell that).

Gotta say, I do enjoy episodes where the focus is NOT on Jack. I am tired of him.

I thought it was interesting that Sawyer's alternate reality has him being a cop.

We have not seen that much of Jack this season. I can't wait until next week when we will supposedly learn more about Richard.

Does Kate know that Locke is really not Locke? Everyone else seems to know but I can't remember if she knows.

I've never loved Jack. He's too know-it-all, superiority complex for my taste.

I am definitely waiting to hear more about Richard.

Is anyone else tired of the "Who will Kate pick" nonsense? I haven't cared about who she ends up with from the beginning. Plus, now that it seems that Sawyer was head over heels in love with Juliet and she was "the one" for him, I have a hard time caring about Kate's romantic preference. Sawyer was meant to be with Juliet, darn it!

No - she was in "Singles" the 20-something love comedy from the grunge scene 90s Seattle. I think her character's name was Debbie. It was weird, I haven't seen her in anything other than that movie, and I recognized her right away!

Agree - great episode. So we now know for sure that the man in black is the black smoke, and that he is 'evil' in the world. Also that the island seems to be the entrance to our world from the underworld/[censored], and as long as Jacob was alive, the black smoke could not leave the island.

Also that Jacob was looking for a replacement for himself, and thus the 6 candidates. Who do you think the replacement will be? I'm liking that Hugo is talking to dead people. Richard's back story was great, and showed how when bad Locke first saw him, where the 'the last time I saw you, you were in chains' came from. Also liked that in the end Richard chose to turn away from the black smoke.

Did anyone notice when they showed the brief preview of upcoming episodes (at the end of this episode) that it appeared that Sun was lying under a tree, maybe dead?

I loved last night's episode and finally learning more about the mysterious Richard.

I think it is interesting about Hurley communicating with the dead, too, in part because I would expect that more from Miles rather than Hurley.

I only caught the Bible verse was from Luke.

So why is Hurley talking to dead people all of a sudden? Why did the smoke monster spare Richard and killed everyone else? Did he do it on purpose so he could manipulate Richard into doing what he wanted? I really want to hear more about Jacob and the man in black. Does anyone else think that Jacob and the man in black should have spoken like they did in ye olden days?
