Heard this one the other day and don't know the solution: The numbers 4 and 5 Put a mathmatical symbol between them (+,-,...etc.) The equation should equal a number greater than 4 but less than 6. Like I said, I don't know the solution.

put in a decimal 4.5
I was thinking (<).....4<5

If it's supposed to be a math symbol, should it not be the symbol for "greater than or equal to"?

It could be. I the simplicity of ".". (The European translation is ",".) I tried to remember the question from Car Talk. I may not have it correct.

NOTHING....used in a Stanford study...Stanford seniors had a very poor rate of solution while area elementary students scored above 90% (I believe).
