No, but I did notice that she said, "We adopted Aaron at age five." and then he said, "I don't know where I get it, my mom certainly can't sing." We caught that, too. Casey James, why must you go all country on me. My favorite was Crystal. I'm pretty sure she could sing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and I'd be okay with it. I actually didn't hate any of the performances last night. I'd like to see Lacey and Katie hit the road.

I think Aaron's adoptive mom is his biological aunt, if I remember correctly from earlier in the season.
I loved it last night when Kara was criticizing Andrew for not "relating to" the song enough because it was about war, etc. and Simon said, "What should he have done, come out here with a tank?" Kara is the one who really needs to go home. I just don't think she adds a thing to the show.
Simon criticized Casey for just standing in the middle of the stage with his guitar, like it was an audition round. It seems to me that later in the show, Lee did the EXACT same thing, yet no criticism was forthcoming.

Casey is getting old to me. Someone mentioned he's like Kenny Wayne Shepard- no. He IS Kenny Wayne Shepard.
Siobhan was amazing, and her performance blew me away. But Simon was right in that she's going to divide people into those that love her or those that hate her.
Chrystal phoned it in but it was still good.
Lee = Dave Matthews. Carbon copy.
All of the others= I don't care if they stay or go.

Took most of the words right out of my mouth... edited to save me time! On the whole, they did better than I expected.
Siobhan rocked!
Crystal was good, as always, but not as good as she could have been.
Casey was good, but could have been better with a better song.
Lee was ok, if not a bit boring.
Mike & Didi - meh. Not impressive, but not bad. I like DiDi, but that song stunk for her.
Katie can sing, but something about her really bugs me. They should have told her to come back in two years.
The rest can go home any time yesterday.

I usually love American Idol, but I just can't seem to get into it this season. I'm really not crazy about any of the contestants, and usually by now I have a favorite.

I thought the bottom three were about right last night (could have subbed Katie for any of them) and thought Lacey was the one to go since the tweeners and Vote for the Worst will likely keep Tim around for a while.
Enjoyed David Cook but did not care for the second performer. And what on earth was up with the girl singing that "Blah Blah Blah" song??? That was just painful. My 11 year old looked at me and asked, "Is this a joke?" I told him it was not, and that is one of the many reasons that his dad and I listen to country music!

PB, I kind of liked Lacey too. . .I just guessed that when the choice was between Paige, Lacey and Tim, she would be the one to get the boot.

I'm OK with Lacy's departure... I too could have happily put Katie in any of their spots though. I didn't realize they were bringing back the "save"...but happy that they are opening up the "save" song to anything from the contestant's prior songs...why should they sing something again that didn't work out so well the night before?

I think they need to revamp the scoring system - maybe make it something like DWTS so that the judges have a say in who stays and who goes also.

Lacey was annoying although, the song she sang at the end last night sounded pretty good.
Tim Urban is a twerp. His reactions after he finds out he's safe is lame. His songs are lame. He needs to leave.
The whole saving vote thing seems kind of odd. I'm thinking the judges already have a good idea who they would use it on this year so most everyone else singing to save themselves seems moot. They should just have them kneel and beg.

This has got to be the WORST season of Americna Idol. I hope it's the last. I know Ellen is a 'sister', but honey, she is a drag. (Pun intended).
