To me, I guess it just seems like all of the guys are forgetable, there is nothing really all that good.
Maybe it was first show jitters, who knows, but it hasn't started out good.
Could they just eliminate four dudes tonight an no girls?

I noticed that--Mike was holding that guitar but didn't appear to play it at all, to me.
BeadOps, I hope Ellen will lighten up. She seems to be trying awfully hard to word her critiques exactly right. I wish she'd just say what comes to mind, which would probably be pretty funny. She is way too serious so far. Hopefully it is just "new job" jitters.

I think they could go ahead and send home everybody but Crystal (bad teeth, right?), Didi, Siobhan, the Landslide girl, Lee, Big Mike, Casey, and Andrew. The whole train wreck would be much better off.

Maybe America just doesn't have any more Idols left.
I think a weekly hour long show on stupid human tricks would work much better.

I thought the show was lackluster at best.
I thought Allison SUCKED.
Chris had a good performance though.

A guy (Tim Urban), who was cut from the show and then invited back (they didn't tell us who he replaced)...
He replaced Chris (?) Golightly. The foster system kid with the blonde afro. Due to editing, he lurked around in the background a lot in the final cut episode, but you could see him if you looked hard enough. Apparently, he lied about being under contract...

Jannell sounded better singing out than she did live performance. Too bad, she had personality. I totally agree with this, she was way better last night than she was when she performed on Tuesday. Too bad for her. I disagreed with all of the ones who went home last night except Ashley Rodriguez. The other three should have gone home fairly early, but I thought there were worse performers this week than the other three who got the boot.

I was happy that they sent Paula home at the begining of the year.

Tim Urban, clearly They do have a lot of options though. Maybe that's Idol's master plan? To have enough sucky people to confuse the vote the worst group so they have a lesser impact?

Don't you just listen to some of these singers and think, "Really? Out of all the thousands and thousands of people who auditioned, you were one of the top 24 vocally?" I don't know what the judges are hearing sometimes.
I am becoming much more cynical about this show every year. . .you just know there will be at least one 16 or 17 year old boy, one 16 or 17 year old girl, a rocker, etc. I think they focus too much on filling those assigned slots and not enough on the singing when they narrow the field to 24.
