pay no attention to the peanut gallery Karen, sunsets on Lake Huron here we come!!!! While I'm not disputing your claim, I'm not sure how you will be able to see Lake Huron from Sandusky, Ohio which is on Lake Erie. And I did go on pretty much every coaster at Six Flags Over Texas. Hey, I gotta get my money's worth!

Dear BaconBoy:
the sailboat is moored on Lake Huron, you of all people should know one cannot sail on Lake Erie....shoot you can walk across Lake Erie!
:leaves shaking head:

Um...old man...not to rattle your aging bones here, but if you ever had any kind of geography classes in that old one room school of yours....Lake Huron faces the EAST...so we would be enjoying sunrises instead of sunsets! BB, I think the old man was referring to the night before the event...I am only a few short hours drive from CP.

True, you could turn around, but then you would have a bird's eye view of the shoreline. Sunrises are spectacular too!
In any case, we would moor in Lake St. Clair, not Lake Huron.

Depending on whether the car show is in town, I suppose.

We wouldn't see Cobo from where we would be. That's too far downriver. We would get a nice view of Harsen's Island, Muscamoot Bay (water temp will be warm enough to swim by then) and Canada (through the binoculars0.

I still have the video, somewhere, of us on the helicopter ride.

Did we reach any consensus about which dates people could make this trip? I'm just realizing that the proposed weekend is just two months away...

Hork! I think if they would have joined us on all those rides their adrenaline would have kicked in and kept them going. I still have my keychain, too.
