I met Toni Tenille and the Captain (anyone else remember The Captain and Tenille?). Ms. Tenille even told me a joke that can't be told in this forum....she was charming and very, very funny.

I met Mel Gibson when he was filming "Maverick". He was incredibly polite, amazingly friendly and down to earth, of course, maybe because I was bringing the payroll for him and the film crew.

I met Leonard Nimoy when I was a kid. I asked him where his pointy ears were. He told me they were in the shop getting sharpened.

I'm glad that didn't happen to me. I would have shamelessly thrown myself on him.

I met Bill Cosby at a mall in Boston. Just wandering around the bookstore after a signing. He took a picture with me that didn't turn out and no one back home ever believed I really talked to him.

My husband and I were in vegas and met Chuck Lidel and took pictures with him by the black jack table. He was probably mad we were bothering him but it was awesome. By the way Chuck Lidel is UFC fighter.

Yes he was very nice. His manager saw us staring and acting like kids and invited us over to meet him.

I am a martial artist....see my Shotokan karate tiger? I watch MMA (octogon stuff) quite frequently with hubby. I'm NEARLY as tough as the iceman.....but not quite.

Dan...your mom did the right thing about ole Conway! We LOVED to hear Conway so my mom, dad and I went to one of his shows...he REALLY got us riled when he not ONCE acknowledged his band!!!

Growing up my dad always had a Country Band. When I was a teenager we got to play at this huge venue where many big stars would be booked to come play each weekend. One weekend we got the privilege to play as warm up band to Mickey Gilley and Emmy Lou Harris. We got to eat fried chicken with them and their bands...watch them put up the lights and equipment. Both of them were very gracious stars. I was in AWE of their bass player b/c I was learning the bass at the time...and he was CUTE too! That cutiepatootie leaned over on the stage to talk to me :::stares dreamingly::: and my dad walks over and says...so what do you think Scooter (my nickname)...I said "man daddy...he ALMOST plays as good as you do!!!" My dad almost fainted Good times...I miss him EVERYDAY!!!
