Can anyone tell me where I can find information on how payments are applied on a real estate loan. Interest, principal, late fees, misc fees (where does Escrow fall) I have looked in Illinois Statutes and have found nothing. Hopefully someone can help.

The application of payments is normally addressed in your note/contract.
