Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am looking for record retention requirements for customer complaints.
(The complaints are general, like the teller wasn't friendly, or the service was too slow.)

I wish I could point you in the right direction. As a general rule (no litigation, etc.) I believe the "common" complaint letter should be held from exam to exam. I say this because as part of the CRA exam an evaluation will be done of how you address complaints. These will be reviewed during this process.
