So, we have our separate threads for American Idol, Lost, DWTS, etc. How about a general one for other "stuff" we're watching? If there's another good place to talk about this, I haven't found it! Although this wasn't on last night, I did catch the season opener for Deadliest Catch last week. So glad it's back! It puts a new slant on things to see Captain Phil and know that he won't survive the season. And I have never liked Keith on the Wizard. . .I wish the Hillstrands would have done more than shove him to the ground! Last night, I watched the ACMs and was happy with the majority of the results. I love Lady A and have from the first time I heard them on the radio, so I was happy to see them win several awards. And, I was also happy that the awards were not dominated by Taylor Swift, who won ZERO. P.S.--I know that some of you think TV is a waste of time and that those of us who watch need to get a life. This is not the thread for you!

Great idea Hoosierland.
Desparate Housewives was great last night! My bets are on Orson for trying to sabotage Bree's dinner.
I missed not having Amazing Race on.

Yeah, I watched The Pacific and Treme on HBO. I like Treme, but I'm not sure if I like the whole show, or because so many alumni from "The Wire" and "Deadwood" are on it.

Right now, hubby and I are trying to catch up on "Dexter" on DVD. We're in the middle of season 2. I *love* that show! We also watch The Pacific, HIMYM, Big Bang Theory, Fringe, CSI, Modern Family, Parenthood and Burn Notice. TV night is our "unwind time" - but we don't spend too much time on it, so our DVR is loaded up with all the episodes we've missed... We usually play catch up in the summer. And I can't stand country music, so I was very cranky that The Amazing Race was not on because of the country music awards. Bleh!

Is there even anything else on TV? You know, for someone who dislikes Europe so much (or so pretends), you would fit right in there! Soccer is its own religion there.

How's that series doing?
Who are you cheering to win?
I've really only been following Boston/Buffalo and the Sens/Pens

I started watching the ACMs last night, but was totally put off by the "jokes" Reba continued to throw out there in an attempt to be humorous. I was not at all impressed. I'm assuming someone else wrote the script for her, but I didn't think it was funny and I didn't like her delivery. Even my 12 year old looked at me and said, "Mom, was that supposed to be funny? She's ripping on celebrities and it's really stupid" I would've much rather watched The Amazing Race!

I know that some of you think TV is a waste of time and that those of us who watch need to get a life. to paraphrase Homer Simpson, "How can you not love something that gives so much and asks for so little in return?"

The only shows I watch consistently, without missing are: Iron Chef America ParentHood Celebrity Apprentice I think Parenthood is the best thing on TV since Knotts Landing! I usually have to watch via DVR during off hours or in the office since the main T.V. seems to be stuck on FOX News. I'm pretty surprised that O'Reilly's image is not burned into the TV screen yet.
