The dude on Pawn Stars who bought what he thought was an old gun for $700 or something like that and hoped to turn a profit was awesome!
The gun was a fake and was only worth about $100.
He blew up, cursing everywhere.
He said his wife wanted to kill him when he bought the gun but now she will be extra mad.
This all made me laugh.

I saw about 15 minutes of Hoarders once, it was very depressing, the guy was having a meltdown because they were throwing away an old torn circus poster from when he was a kid...he was cursing the doctor, his son, his grandson, even the camera people...i had to change it, way too depressing I can't watch when the people are resistant to changing, either. The TLC version seems to be showing people who really want to get better, so on the episodes I have seen, there are far fewer meltdowns than on the few episodes of Hoarders I've watched. On the TLC one, they usually end by showing you what progress has been made over a period of time, and most episodes show remarkable improvement, and the people are thrilled.

I think MB Guy mentioned American Pickers (or something like that).
It's not my favorite show but the thing I find funny about it is the junk they find then make an offer to some old codger and he think's they're nuts and wants much more.
Who else but these two would even offer you a dollar for the [censored] you have in your yard or garage or old barn? This is so true! My husband loves this show and I have told him that they would have to pay me to even look through that garbage. I would certainly not be offering to pay for any of it! I like antiques and old "stuff" but I have my limits, and most of the stuff I see them wading through on that show should have gone to a landfill years and years ago. Some of the yards just plain look like a landfill!

Anyone else watching Deadliest Catch? It is interesting to me to watch the two Jakes working on another boat.
I didn't like seeing the big blow-up between Sig & Edgar last night. I enjoy Edgar and the show will definitely lose something if he leaves.

I love Deadliest Catch. I'm enjoying seeing the Jakes on the different boats. It's difficult to watch this season knowing Phil won't make it through the whole season.

He made some comment last night about being "lucky." At least it appears that his last season of king crab fishing will be a good one. But it's still sad to me whenever they go to the Cornelia Marie, knowing what is going to happen. I thought the decision to trade Jakes was a great one, but then again, they didn't know this would be the last chance Jake Harris would have to fish with his dad on his boat.

Read that last week's Deadliest Catch was the higher rated premier it had ever had.
Agree hard to watch Phil, knowing what happens. Thought last night's episode was a little boring--lots of commercials too. I do like watching the Jakes on the different boats. Interesting.

Tuesday is the best night of TV as far as my favorites go. Idol, DWTS, Biggest Loser, Deadliest Catch, and The Good Wife -- and yet in the biggest bonehead move, I enrolled in a class on Tuesday nights!!!

I noticed that too about the commercials--tons of them last night. I guess it's easier to sell that ad time when your ratings are at their highest!

If anyone is looking for a new show on Tuesday at 10, check out "Justified" on FX.
Really a pretty cool show about a US Marshall played by Timothy Olyphant. His different acting makes it worth catching.

cover the tarp in flour
dip yourself in a large vat of beaten eggs

So y'all are taping NCIS and Lost while you watch these minor shows?

Anyone else watch Biggest Loser? This season has been really great. A lot less "game playing" than previous seasons (with the execption of Melissa) and the contestants are losing A LOT of weight

O'neal is amazing! I can't lie I got pretty teary eyed watching last night's episode. The camaraderie of this cast is great to see.

Ok--sitting in my recliner watching Biggest Loser last night and cried (no sobbing)....these are real people dealing with real life and I'm glad they spent some time showing that. Got to see a new side of Jillian and I liked that too! This is rapidly becoming one of my favorites for the season.
