I think I'll just stick to BOL discussions. At least here people have brains and can make good arguments... So I was involved in a discussion on another forum on a news site. I made a point about illegal immigration (and for those of you who don't know, that's the one area I am very conservative on) and these are the well-researched, intelligent responses I get: "Agnessa, I bet your ugly" <-- notice the wonderful spelling technique? LOL "Wow, spoken like a typical American who has never stepped foot outside of this country. What a moron you are, it's sad. Why don't you spend some time outside of the US and then you can talk" <---- Hah hah hah!!!  I love that one the most! At least there were a few decent responses, but the ones above cracked me up.  I'm an ugly moron! Yay!

Did you set them straight? I wanted to, but the thread got closed for further comments as of this morning. I didn't see the funny comments until about an hour ago. But I think even if I had set the record straight, they would probably think I'm making it all up anyway  And I'm obviously more concerned about being accused of never setting foot outside of the US than I am about being called ugly LOL

Are you talking about the missing periods in the quotes? I copied them as they were, without punctuation. That is the only "missing punctuation" I can find. Am I missing something? LOL However, I will admit to being extremely annoyed with the constant misuse of "your" v. "you're" (not to mention their, they're, and there) all over the internet. It's not that difficult! :shakes fist: Yes, I'm a snob when it comes to grammar.
