I could use some help with the following:

1. Assume you have holding company in a non-msa that owns just one bank in a non-msa, the holding company acquires another bank in an msa; I'm presuming that only the bank in the msa is HMDA-reportable?

2. Assume you have the same holding company in a non-msa with one bank in a non-msa, and the bank acquires/establishes a branch in an msa; I'm presuming that the bank is now HMDA-reportable (for all loans, not just the ones booked in the branch that is within the msa)?

3. Is there a list of MSAs?

Thanks.

There is a list in the back of the HMDA GIR guide that can be found on ffiec.gov

Good Luck!

Your first 2 points are correct.

Here is the bible for all things HMDA:

http://www.ffiec.gov/hmda/guide.htm

Appendix F is a list of all state and county codes, along with the corresponding MSAs.
