http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/The original L&O has been cancelled by the network, but they have picked up a new show: L&O, LA. I find that odd.

I'm amazed at this phenomenon as well....shows like Law and Order and CSI where i never watched/got into the original....and then 18 spinoffs followed...puzzling to me.

Well, over the past few years, SVU has become the flagship show for the L&O franchise (IMO, deservedly so). L&O: CI jumped the shark two seasons ago, but L&O: classic, while it suffered with the cast carousel of recent years, has gotten much better in the past year or so. Sure, it'll never be like Briscoe and Greene, but still, the series had been recovering. I think the network did the series a disservice by moving its timeslot several times in the past year, but, oh well.
Yeah, I'll give L&O: LA a shot..

I miss Lenny Briscoe.
SVU is one of my favorites - I wish they wouldn't keep moving it around to different time slots.
And Jeff Goldblum is just not my idea of a detective - he's no Lenny!

Might want to check out "Justified" tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 10 on FX. Great new show. LOVE this show. (Justified) Good friend loves this show but can't keep up with the plot because, as she says, she's too busy drooling over Timothy Oliphant! Not surprised L&O got cancelled, it lost it's appeal to me quite a while ago. After a while, shows can get stale, this one did. Lenny will always be missed, and was never replaced.
