good news and continued prayers

sil Terry has been ill with a cold this week and if she's not well enough tomorrow the surgery will be cancelled. The surgery will need to be rescheduled and would more than likely not be until July!! Please pray that she is "all better" by tomorrow

Your posts really have taken me back to those pre-transplant days when we lost sleep and stressed over the very same things. I pray that the surgery goes as planned. But have a question.
They scheduled a transplant on a Saturday? Or is it Monday and they are only giving her until tomorrow to be well?

The bear got sick just a few days before her transplant too, but we were able to go through with the surgery as planned.

I am praying my dear friend.

Surgery is Monday the 17th but she has to go into hospital on Sunday for pre-op stuff. I guess they are giving her until tomorrow to get well enough for surgery before they cancel.

Hubby niece called around 7pm - both came through surgery well. Too soon to know if transplanted kidney is working but the first part went well. Thanks so much for your prayers and hugs!!

Talked to Jim around noon, was surprised when he answered his cell phone - I thought I'd get one of his daughters. Other than sounding like a man on some pretty good drugs he is doing well. Says he feels like he got kicked in the gut Kidney in Terry is functioning well - Praise God!!! He goes home tomorrow and she goes home Friday with help from their grown kids.

So happy to hear. What a blessing a transplant is. Thank God for donors (even us living ones )

TB - in the realm of transplant, we learned a transplant is not a cure, but that sometimes we trade one set of issues for a different set of issues.

I pray that she has a smooth, rejection free, road to recovery.

I pray that she is complication free.
And most of all, I pray for Terry and Jim's healing.
