Does any one have a Facebook page for your bank? If so what kind of security standards do you have set for it and how do you monitor and control the activity?

We do not, although we have talked about it. I'd be interested to hear about those who do.

We only allow certain employees to post to the page. They have been trained in regulations regarding advertising and are aware of issues with reputation risk. We use the page to announce events at the bank and in the community. We don't advertise specific products in a way that would trigger disclosure requirements.

We also require any employee who "likes" our page to have their own FB pages set to be as private as possible, to that no one seeing our page can click through to something that would embarrass the bank. We've also instructed employees not to post anything that could be construed as an advertisement.

Our bank does not have a facebook page and Facebook is actually blocked on the computers at work. While we have no guidelines established for employees using on their own time/computer/phones, etc.; I personally do not list any personal info related to home address, work, phone #s, etc.

Thought about it and decided against having a bank page here. Facebook is also blocked on all bank PCs.

We are piloting one in just one of our regions - our Marketing group maintains it, but there is compliance review of the content.

While we all appreciate freebies, it isn't fair to allow advertising for free while other vendors are paying for this.

Please contact tobi@bankersonline.com to advertise on BOL.
