Chad is just so stiff. Even if his dance is good, he looks awkward. I was glad that they scored his second dance so low.

And Evan is very good, but Nicole is like a professional. She makes it all look effortless.

So Chad is gone. Any thoughts on who will win? I'm going to say Nicole with Evan in second and Erin in third.

I think it should be Nicole, Evan, and Erin. But as Derek pointed out the other night when an Olympian competes they win. So I am think it will be Evan, Nicole, and Erin in third.

Much as I like Evan and started out the season believing he had a great chance at winning, he doesn't have the charisma or the talent Nicole does. They've both had dance training. She's just better than he is. He seems to be trying so hard. She gets out there and connects with the audience on a level Evan can't.

Women have an inherent advantage in this type of competition, so even when a guy wins, it is most likely because he had a great patner...

Have you ever TRIED ballroom dancing? My husband and I have taken lessons through adult education type settings on and off for years. Our daughter gave us an intro package to a dance studio and it's like we know nothing! This guy is all into posture and holds and body positioning. And guess who's driving the dance? The guy! I'm suppossed to look good while moving backwards and, unless he remembers to tell me physically, having no clue where he's going or what he's going to do next. Advantage my bruised toes! eek

After the show last night I think that Erin has a good possiblity of beating out Evan for the second spot. I liked both of Evan's dances although obviously the judges did not. His waltz was awesome. And what was with Carrie Ann and the lift thing with Derek and Nicole. The dance was obviously over.
I think she was trying to even up the playing field so that the viewers could decide the champion. Evan had better dance well tonight.

Nicole deserves to win. She is the best dancer. Erin was good, but I didn't think her first dance was that great. I did think she was better than Evan. Evan's freestyle was not good at all, but Nicole's was amazing!

I agree that Carrie Anne was trying to level the playing field by calling the lift.

I saw all the dances but missed some of the scores. Who is the point leader? I guess that doesn't really matter as viewer votes will decide the winner.

Nicole and Erin are tied. Evan is about 3 or 4 behind. He only got 8s on his freestyle.

Personally, I thought Evan's freestyle was quite good. He let himself go and seemed to REALLY have fun.

I thought Erin's first dance was awesome myself! Nicole was awesome on both dances and I totally enjoyed Evan. Nicole is way out there on her talent...but to me is about the other two who really weren't dancers....

Even my teenage grangirl commented "oh, THAT was the freestyles? They weren't ...well certainly not 'save a horse' were they?" I was disappointed in all of them. Especially when Erik and Nicole missed the last lift. Each of them had the help of a real choreographer. They should have gotten the ones that choreograph for So You Think You Can Dance!

They have two more dances tonight right? Hopefully Evan can come back.

And is Jake going to waltz with Vienna? That might be more than I can take as I don't care for her? What happened to his partner?

The judges don't like Evan enough for him to come back. It'll be Nicole in first. Evan may steal second back from Erin but there might be a switch there too.

Was anyone else as dissappointed as I was at Anna's breakdown under the stress of choreographing the freestyle? I'm surprised Jonathan didn't show up to help her. He won with Kristi so he knows how to do a good freestyle.

I was a little surprised by the "outside help," but I liked them. (And Mandy Moore does choreograph for So You Think You Can Dance, and she does some great ones!

I was wondering about Anna and Jonathan. She has not had her wedding ring on and, you are right, he neve showed up at practice at all. And he is not on the show this year either. I think she and Evan are a little too chummy.

Jonathan was on last week when each of the remaining pros were profiled. He and Anna are still very much together.

Anna's Russian. Doesn't she wear her wedding ring on the right hand? I believe Evan is still dating gymnast Nastia Luikin.
