Our Bank's Board of Directors has made the decision to not make customers opt in. We are not going to charge OD fees for the one time debits and ATM debits.

Does anyone have a sample letter that they would share explaining why they have chosen this route? We are also looking for some talking points for our front line staff so they can explain this to customer.

Thank you for your help.

Respectfully, what is it you think they need to be told?

Your decision is generous and it's also subject to change so I would not draw it to their attention. Please keep in mind that any correspondence where you discuss your handling of overdrafts will be treated as advertsing overdrafts and trigger some content requirements.
