Is there a NYS Rule/Law/Regulation regard a bank's right to set off? Or, does anyone know if there are exempt funds? We have a customer who owes us $400 in overdraft fees. He has a direct deposit of unemployment coming in and we'd like to know if we can use his unemployment to offset his overdrafts.
