Loralie -
I'm reading in publishing order, as I started reading them several years ago. I've read several other authors on the subject as well, but enjoy Phillipa Gregory the most.

The movie was a big disappointment, which they generally are. The director and film editor don't have the luxury of keeping all the details that make the story so much richer.

There's a few things that I'm kind of confused about, but according to wiki, the American publishings clear up some things about Warlock in an addendum chapter.

I'm a little over half-way into Laurell K Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series.

I read these in between the other series and random books that I read as well. Love them! (I think I am ready to start book 5, so I am just starting them really.)

I can totally see why they made them into graphic novels/comics. I love the action/fighting without all the Romeo and Juliet 'I'll-just-die-without-you' stuff that you often find in this genre!

Yes, I am addicted to them at this point and will keep reading until I'm caught up. They get more "steamy" as you go but I wouldn't exactly call it romance and definitely not the Romeo and Julietish.

That is exactly what I heard. And dont get me wrong, I don't mind the steam one bit! (Rachel and Kisten, for example) Just not the R&J stuff. Gag.

I reread Wicked and Son of a Witch within the last 2 weeks before reading this and I really am enjoying the flow of the story.

It seems like the author has the whole story in his mind and that he has to get out, but it is taking more than one book to do it. I love the way he ties all the books together and includes parts of the original books that the movie left out or re-wrote (like when Liir passes Tip on the path).

I have also read the first 2 books in L. Frank Baum's Oz series and I may read all 16 books in the original Oz series. It seems like Maguire did. Oh, and did I mention, the bear and I have always been obsessed with Oz since she was very little smile ?

I need to get done before June 22 smile

I don't think anything in the Anita books could ever be described as 'Romeo and Juliet.' Unless maybe you are referring to how destructive some of the attractions are.... eek

I've been reading History of the Expedition under the Command of Captains Lewis and Clark, to the Sources of the Missouri, Thence across the Rocky Mountains and down the River Columbia to the Pacific Ocean. Performed during the years 1804-5-6. Seriously. smile
