I'm between books at the moment, but am making a Walmart run at lunch today. I may have to see if there's a Tami Hoag or Lee Child on their shelf that I haven't read yet.

"House Rules" by Jodi Picault, I read her "My Sister's Keeper" a little while ago, she is a great writer.

I tried to read W&P. But considering how much I hated Anna Karenina, I decided I just don't like the way he writes. And life is to short to suffer through a book you know you won't like.

I quite enjoyed that book and the next two in the series. The fourth and last is on my wish list at Amazon.

Recently, I re-read one of my James Herriott books which put me in the mood for more animal stories. Next up in my reading queue are:

1. Tell Me Where It Hurts: A Day of Humor, Healing, and Hope in my Life as an Animal Surgeon by Dr. Nick Trout (side note - if that isn't a pen name, then he's got an awesome name for a vet. Though he should have specialized in fish.)

2. All My Patients Have Tales: Favorite Stories from A Vet's Practice by Jeff Wells, D.V.M.

I'll let you know how they are once I'm done.

skip 61 hours, latest Reacher novel...boring

Seems that Lee Child has reached the end of ideas for our favorite former MP and needs to find fertile new ground. I won't read any more by him...

I'm still an ink-and-paper girl at heart, but there's no disputing the convenience - especially since I usually have a book on me at all times. My husband is hoping it will slow the flood of books that have taken over every available inch of storage, shelf, and surface space in our house.

Hi, my name is Becca, and I am a book hoarder.

I'm with Becca, a prefer to have an actual book in hand. But my husband is convinced that I'll see the convience in an e-reader. I'm a mom of a five and two year old, there is no such thing as convience in my life laugh

in usually read them and then send them to the troops, or bring them to work where we have started a book exchange. if I was smart i'd start going to a book exchange and get the books i want to read...

i generally buy paperbacks, so not an issue to give away. My wife buys nothing but hardbacks for her, but she reads much slower (i'm 3-5 books a week, she is 1-2 per month) and keeps them all.

I've had a Kindle since they first came out. I love it. And I still buy paper books.

I keep the ones I think I'll read again, which is most anything I really enjoy. I have been known to literally wear out paperbacks due to rereading so often. The ones I don't like enough to reread get given away, traded in, or donated.

Cats, have you read Farley Mowat? He has some great animal ones.
