Does anyone have any information or policy on the following:
Bank having FaceBook.....does any of your banks have a FaceBook page?
Also, has any one incorporated Social Media such as facebook in personnel policy as it may apply to employees use of personal facebook etc?

Thanks!

My suggestion is that you be VERY VERY CAREFUL with social media involvement. Research has shown very little, if any new business comes from social media. The legal risks are still unfolding.

As well as the compliance risks. We have a policy that states on bank time with bank equipment using bank name is NO.

social media is blocked on bank computers. I have a friend that works at a law firm. Their handbook prohibits them from having a social media site (according to her). In any event, I do not list my employer, occupation or any other data like education, etc on my facebook page.

I know this is not a banking rule, but you may be interested in the FINRA rules on social media. I wouldn't be surprised if the banking regulators came up with something in the future.
