That's not fair - I want Ranger dreams! I always get stuck with stupid stuff about refrigerators in the middle of the yard or not being able to find matching socks. frown

Current reading material:
nightstand book = Incubus Dreams by Laurell K Hamilton
purse book = The Darkest Lie by Gena Showalter

I'll hopefully be hitting the bookstore tomorrow.

I just finished the first of the series about Amelia Peabody by Elizabeth Peters. I really liked it and will now be going down the list to read all of them.

BF - Make sure you read 'The Watchers'. Excellent book.

I don't read any longer. Don't know why, but it doesn't interest me. My husband is currently reading 'The Passage'. He absolutely LOVES it. So much so he bought the book for my son when he was here this weekend.

It was ok- her other Stephanie books have made me laugh out loud more. It has a lot of action in it and it's always good when both men in her life have equal time. Grandma wasn't in it a lot and she is a hoot.

Finished Sizzlin' 16 over the weekend. ditto pjs' comments on it.

Reading Eat Pray Love and strangely liking it. I'm enjoying her style of writing and the way she divided up the book into easy to read short parapraphs.

Just finished this book also. It was an excellent book. The ending did leave you hanging though didn't it?

I am now reading the latest Jefferey Deaver's book about Lincoln Rhyme-The Burning Wire.

Yes, the end was a bit of a cliff hanger, but Worth Dying For is due out in October, so Reacher will be back!!

I wonder if he probably figured out his books were worthy of "series" status!

Just finished Heart & Soul by Maeve Binchy. I really enjoyed it, although it pulled in a lot of characters from the last few novels and I wasn't prepared for that. It has been a long time since I have read most of those--and I have read WAY too many books since then--so I had a hard time placing those characters in the story as well as I would have liked. If I had known, I would have re-read some of the previous novels first.

Just started Aushwich. My step-son and his wife recently visited Aushwich and Birkenau, bought the book and convinced me it is an interesting and informative read. He also took loads of pictures (professional photog). Anyone interested send PM for web site link to pics.

You might like Lee Child. Whatever you do, don't read any Barry Eisler. Stick with Vince Flynn. (Vince Flynn is closer to your political philosophy than Barry Eisler.)

I'm trying to make myself finish Stealing Kathryn by Jacquelyn Frank, but it's really bad. There are two short story collections coming out soon that I'm looking forward to, though: Dark & Stormy Knights on 7/20, and Death's Excellent Vacation on 8/3. They both have authors that I usually enjoy.
